Man Accused of Threatening to Kill Boehner Over Unemployment Extension

Source: Roll Call

An Indiana man has been arrested by the FBI for allegedly threatening to kill Speaker John A. Boehner of Ohio over his refusal to pass an unemployment extension, according to court filings.

Brandon J. Thompson, 32, of New Castle, Ind., faces federal charges for allegedly making email and telephone threats to an elected official, according to a press release. FBI agents arrested Thompson at his home Thursday night, where he admitted to the charges, according to a criminal complaint. He faced a U.S. Magistrate Judge Friday morning.

Thompson is accused of obtaining Boehner’s wife’s personal cell phone number and leaving voicemail messages in early May to relay several threats against the speaker, stating among other things that he would “get his hands on him,” and “rip his fucking head off,” because he “shoulda extended unemployment insurance.”

Boehner has so far refused to allow a vote on an unemployment extension.

Maybe the guy should have taken lessons from Ted Nugent on how to threaten elected officials and avoid jail.

OK, kidding aside, that was utterly stupid and doesn't do anything whatsoever to solve the problem.

you give people unemployment benefits for too long blah blah blah. I'm sure some like Limbaugh are saying it at this moment, though some of them have to wait for their cues from him or Breitbart.com or WND.com (Wingnut Daily News) before they know what to say.

can only imagine Thompson's frustration as bills mount up with no way to pay them while he sees an asshole like Boehner collecting a fat salary for refusing to help him.

He needs a lesson from Ted Nugent on how you threaten the lives of politicians. "Ripping" off of heads is not the preferred method in this day and age.

Here's how Uncle Ted threatens the lives of politicians in front of hundreds of witnesses and gets away with it.

“I was in Chicago and I said hey Obama, you might want to suck on one of these you punk; Obama, he’s a piece of shit, and I told him to suck on my machine gun,” Nugent screamed during a concert while brandishing two machine guns, “Then I was in New York and I said, ‘Hey Hillary you might want to ride one of these into the sunset you worthless bitch…. Then I was out in California and I thought, Barbara Boxer, she might want to suck on my machine gun, hey Dianne Feinstein ride one of these you worthless whore.” - See more at: http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/after-threatening-presidents-life-ted-nugent-rewarded-ticket-state-union#sthash.q1IaIIgO.dpuf

They excused Uncle Ted's actions by continuing to let him be a spokesperson for them after this incident. They own every nasty thing this jerk said supporting them. They coddled him, they encouraged him and they are the ones who put him on a pedestal.

I'm not going to let them forget who they worshiped. Ted Nugent is one of the many vile faces of the GOP.

From the article..

"In the course of the investigation, agents also found that Thompson is the neighbor of another man who was investigated because his IP address matched that of a threatening email sent to Boehner though his office’s website.

Here’s the all-caps message sent through the contact form on Boehner’s website: “WELL YOU DRUNK JOHN BIN LADEN IT’S TIME TO TAKE YOU OUT MOTHERFUCKER YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH 2.7 MILLION PEOPLES LIVES I AM GOING TO TAKE YOURS YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT COMING WITH MY SNIPER RIFLE WERE YOU SOON .”

Investigators believe Thompson logged on to his neighbor’s unencrypted wireless router to make the threat, according to the criminal complaint.

The owner of the wireless router told investigators that Thompson had pulled a gun on a debt collector approximately four years ago."
