In an interview with ABC's "This Week," Sen. Marco Rubio says he believes he is ready and qualified to be president. He also says he has the experience for the job.
"But I think that's true for multiple other people that would want to run," the Florida Republican tells Jonathan Karl. "I mean I'll be 43 this month, but the other thing that perhaps people don't realize, I've served now in public office for the better part of 14 years."
Rubio stressed the Republican Party has several viable candidates.
"The question is ... who's vision is the one that our party wants to follow?" Rubio says. On that point, Rubio says, "Most importantly, I think a president has to have a clear vision of where the country needs to go and clear ideas about how to get it there."

(21,056 posts)There is nothing in his background to suggest he is qualified. He is a huge liar though. He could be like Bush who lied to us for 8 years.

(14,449 posts)because of his immigration stance. We are dodging this big time. He would take Florida for sure. I think you underestimate the voters when you write him off like that. Also he has been a Senator for awhile (second term).

(7,596 posts)He's a lightweight if I ever saw one and, no, I don't think he'd take Florida "for sure". I haven't seen any evidence he's all that popular in his state.

(30,247 posts)Hillary outpolls them both in every poll that has been taken so far.
Here are the results of a Quinnipiac poll from May 1.
"The poll found that Clinton's advantage over Bush is 49-41. With the rest of the potential Republican field she was the choice of more than half of respondents, leading Rubio 52-40 and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie 52-34."

(13,616 posts)All you (censored) that either voted for Crist or thought Meek should drop out of the Senate race are responsible for all the damage this idiot has done, and that which he has left to do.
And yes, I say this as someone whose only voting choice are chain gang charlie and Rick Scott. Debbie Wasserman Schulz should be getting reamed at for the way the Florida Dems are, instead she is getting pats on the back.
