SEOUL, South Korea (AP) Samsung Electronics Co. Chairman Lee Kun-hee was hospitalized in stable condition at a Seoul hospital Sunday after suffering a heart attack, company officials told South Korea's Yonhap news agency.
Lee, 72, was rushed to a hospital near his home in central Seoul late Saturday after experiencing breathing problems and received CPR due to symptoms of a heart attack, company officials said.
He was then rushed to Samsung Medical Center where he underwent a stent placement procedure early Sunday in which tubes were inserted into his body to widen blood vessels to prevent a heart attack.
"He is in a very stable condition and is resting," an unidentified Samsung official told Yonhap.

(22,000 posts)The lack of regulations in the government isn't helping either. Conservatism in Korea is much like that in the US, hands off when it comes to any regulations. If the liberals don't get off their asses and win an election, it is going to be a LONG cold winter politically here in Korea.

(10,274 posts)If they didn't accept the corruption of Samsung, there would be no Samsung as a player on the world stage. Samsung is a national pride more than shame I would think.

(22,000 posts)They might as well put a gun to their head with one bullet and keep pulling the trigger. IMHO smoking is pretty much just that.
The smell of that stuff is awful.
BTW my FIL is 86, he did stop smoking though.
