League City (TX) bans undocumented children

Source: Houston Chronicle

The League City council passed a resolution on Tuesday night to ban undocumented children from entering the municipality.

League City Council Member Heidi Thiess drafted the measure, which declines to accept federal requests to operate detention or processing centers in the city. "Health concerns" were cited among the reasons for the proposed ordinance.

More than 25 residents spoke during the public comment section of Tuesday's council meeting, which followed a public workshop on Monday night.

The resolution passed 6-2. Council members Thiess, Dan Becker, Todd Kinsey, Geri Bentley, Andy Mann and Mayor Timothy Paulissen voted in favor. Council members Dennis OKeeffe and Joanna Dawson were opposed.

Period.

A person could be registered sex offender with a rap sheet a mile long. You still can't ban him.

No. Didn't think so. BS move because of the children who were recently taken in by Houston.

Hate filled jerks. These are children who need a place to lay their heads! Someday they may need a hand up and there will ne no one there to help them too.

Laredo non-profits and private individuals have mobilized to provide stranded kids and their mothers with food, shelter, shower facilities, clean clothes and phones to contact relatives already in the US.

No, we aren't all "like this."

Representing the 14th District of Texas

Weber Acts to Stopgap Illegal Entry to United States.

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) today introduced H.R. 5014, the Illegal Entry Accountability Act of 2014. The legislation would hold Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador accountable for illegal immigration by immediately suspending all U.S...

Bless his little heart.

Rep. Weber speaks on the House floor in favor of the NASA Reauthorization bill.

This is where we saw a local Tea Partier who worked at NASA cheering last year's federal government shutdown and calling for default. Because they know they won't be effected. In fact, they want more funding for themselves and don't care who dies. Nice bunch, a far cry from the people who worked for NASA back in the day of the moon landing.

U.S. Representative Randy Weber has been named as a recipient of the 2014 Thomas Jefferson Award by the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA).

I'm sure Jefferson is barfing off a cloud somewhere at this alleged honor.

Well, looky here. The 14th is Ron Paul's old district:
