Source: nyt/reuters

Walt Disney Co, Discovery Communications Inc and CBS Corp are being asked for information by U.S. antitrust officials probing Comcast Corp's proposed takeover of Time Warner Cable Inc, Bloomberg reported on Friday.

The U.S. Department of Justice has reached out to the companies as it investigates whether the cable-industry merger is anticompetitive, Bloomberg reported, citing three people familiar with the matter.

Approving this 'merger' would just extend the monopoly.

Concentrate on breaking them up as is, not on an expansion.

The diagnostic tools can tell how many times your modem has dropped offline in the past week.

(sorry. Just a minor joke. It'd be funny if it wasn't so true.)

The larger monopoly the cable system becomes, the harder it will be for other companies to stay in the market. Maybe CBS, Discovery, and Disney will provider convincing evidence to discourage the merger.

At some point it's going to become a BIG BLACK HOLE....succccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

The larger Comcast (It's Crapcastic) becomes the more companies they are going to buy and it's just going to keep going. Soon yes, everything will be owned by Comcast (it's still Crapcastic).
