Indonesian girl swept away in 2004 tsunami 'reunited with parents'
- last updated Fri 8 Aug 2014
An Indonesian girl who was swept away during the devastating 2004 tsunami has been reunited with her parents, according to the local Metro TV station.
Raudhatul Jannah was four years old when she was said to have been carried off by a huge wave that struck her family home in Aceh province on December 26, 2004.
Jannah's mother, Jamaliah, said she "prayed to God every night" that the young girl was safe and that they would see her again, but they had begun to give up hope.
It was then that Jamaliah's brother reportedly saw a girl walking to school in another village who looked remarkably like Jannah.
After asking who the teenager was, he was told the girl had been found 80 miles (129km) away after the tsunami by a fisherman.

I'll bet an awful lot of people prayed for their lost loved ones...
Jannah and her family were unbelievably lucky (and that's a good thing -- a great thing!) but crediting God implies that he let the rest die on purpose.
