ACLU Sues Ferguson Police After Being Denied Teen Shooting Report. Files 2nd suit protect recordings

The American Civil Liberties Union sued the Ferguson, Mo., police department Thursday in an effort to obtain the department's incident report on the shooting of an unarmed African-American teen.

The lawsuit alleged that the ACLU had been denied access to the department's full report on the police shooting of Michael Brown on Saturday. The suit alleged that the denial was a violation of Missouri's Sunshine Law.

The National Associated for the Advancement of Colored People also wrote a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, asking him "to take immediate action to address the unjustified use of lethal and excessive force by police officers."

Make them pay for their heinous actions. Bring all to light in a court case. These kinds of actions can't be tolerated.

It sounds like Ferguson PD and St Louis Co PD need to be put out of business.

sue them, make them hand over the report, and make them sell their military gear and vehicles to pay the ACLU.

I've been a member for the past 15 years. I paid my annual membership back in January and I don't recall if it was $15 or $25. But it's one of the best investments anyone can make in trying to hold on to our freedoms.

Their national number is (212) 549-2500. Their newsletters and emails always let you know what they're involved in.

Once you join, you can tell your wingnut family members and/or acquaintences that you're a card-carrying member of the ACLU. It'll make their heads explode.

I'm a member already, but wanting to know what the minimum is I created a new account.

$2 was rejected. $5 was accepted.

Thanks for making me find out!

26 years. Well worth it. I've also been a member of Americans United for Separation of Church and State since the 80's.

They have to get (their fabricated) evidence and description of events (their B.S. Story)!

Kinda like the two reporters in McDonalds were "resisting arrest!"

The best interest to comply with the laws. This is going to get worse.
