David Gregory to Reportedly Exit NBC's 'Meet the Press' This Week

Source: Hollywood Reporter

David Gregory's exit at NBC's Meet the Press may arrive sooner than what was speculated.

According to CNN's Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter, Gregory is set to depart as the host of the Sunday morning talk show as soon as this weekend. His replacement will be NBC's political director Chuck Todd, Stelter reported.

An NBC News spokesperson has not responded to a request for comment on the report.

...but seriously....why replace a white male with another white male...If they were SERIOUS they'd give it to Rachel Maddow...but then none of the rethuglicans would dare go on the show....and THAT is the underlying problem...

A real host would have to ask real questions like "why do we live in a police state?' and "how come, in a democracy, only rich people get to make decisions?"

Can the corporate media tolerate that?

I thought they were going to rename MTP to the John and Lindsey Show.
If Todd challenges McGrump just once what do you suppose will happen? The entire show will change. I might start watching it again. Let me know if this show ever deserves my attention again.

They need a new model. Or just go away. Only news junkies watch MTP and other Sunday shows, and news junkies are up to date. MTP is acting as a week in review show. Who needs that?

However, he is just as much as a toady as Gregory. There are some great local PBS folks in Chicago who would kick ass. The story would be about the issues and the politician, not about themselves. Pity NBC has balls the size of a quark. Otherwise, they would do something unique and daring.

With this kind of shallow thinking I expect MTP will exit the networks lineup in under a year. Fuck Todd is NOT a news program moderator - period. So what is he supposed to do - add this job to the list of things he already does poorly?

FUBAR man FUBAR.

Their agenda is to have a middle-aged Republican white guy in the host seat catapulting rightwing/corporate propaganda. As for the viewers? They can go eff themselves, as far as NBC is concerned.
