Liberals ding Bob Beauprez for suggesting Obama policies could lead to civil war

Source: Denver Post

A Colorado liberal group launched an attack on Republican gubernatorial nominee Bob Beauprez Thursday for saying he worried Obama’s policies could lead to revolution or civil war in the United States.

Beauprez said two years ago that he worried that if the U.S. tes joined the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty that it would infringe on Americans’ Second Amendment rights. He made the remarks during an interview on the Oregon-based Christian Internet show “Focus Today.

ProgressNow Colorado criticized Beauprez one particular statement in the 13-minute clip, which host Perry Atkinson set upby saying, “President Obama is set to sign a U.N. arms treaty allowing Iran, basically, to disarm Americans.”

[...]

“I hope and pray that, that we don’t see another revolution in this country,” Beauprez said after Atkinson asked him if that was possible. “I hope and pray we don’t see another civil war, but this administration is pushing the boundaries like none I think we’ve ever, ever seen.”

already? ummm?

Stupid fox-drivel filled mouth... He probably knows his sick-fantasy of a civil war would not stand longer than 3 seconds before the fumes start lifting up...

Edit: I can clearly foresee his Reaction when "OMG!! The drones are coming!! RUN!" sick and tired of all these fake threats of civil war. Yeah, right, civil war against the biggest, most destructive military machine this planet has ever seen since the last dinosaur dropped dead... so sick and tired of these violence-advocating right-wing gun nuts - end of rant

After all it is clearly abusive, intrusive, militaristic, anti-Constitution, oppressive, etc.

But I doubt 'Both Ways Bob' would even understand how inconsistent and unprincipled are his positions.

While it was foolish for a gubernatorial candidate to make these remarks, others have noted that the divisions and the rancor in our government and the polarization within the population has only been at these levels prior to the Civil War.

the racist neoCONs are who are pushing this country towards a revolution and it's mostly driven by the hatred in their cold dead hearts for anyone who is different from them, whether it be skin color or beliefs.

presidents and the party have supported for many many years. Idiots like this guy are encouraging traitors like the bundy ranch militia to start this so called revolution. They are the ones that need to STFU.

He's been the most right wing Democrat leader, perhaps in history.

What this shows, and that I am continually amazed at, is the power of media ownership, especially when they have a clear agenda. Fox, CNN, some MSNBC shows even, then there's the hate radio domination by the right, and online the Drudge report and others.

All of those "thousand points of light" add up to create a very large segment of the American public thinking that Obama is some kind of socialist/Muslim/military wimp, who is constantly screwing up but has a secret agenda to install a dictatorship and scratch off the 2nd amendment.

Can you imagine what they would have done to Dean, or Gore? This is why Warren and others have cold feet. They know there is a good chance they will be destroyed. The MSM have an arrogance now because they KNOW they can do it.
