US warns travelers of canceled Venezuela flights

Source: AP

Come to Venezuela and you might get a longer trip than you bargained for.

The U.S. Embassy in Caracas issued an advisory Tuesday urging Americans to be careful when traveling to Venezuela because of the steep drop in airline service to the South American country.

The number of seats on flights between Venezuela and the U.S. has fallen by more than half since the beginning of the year, according to the Venezuela Airlines Association. The three largest U.S. carriers — Delta, American and United Airlines — all slashed their service to Venezuela this summer.

The cause: A dispute over some $4 billion in cash trapped in the socialist country.

I thought Maduro was gonna fix this and pay the airlines a month or so ago.

by a thousand knives approach. They have learned that the wham bam thank you maam doesn't work in the long run, ie. Pinochet & the CIA in Chile. Well it might, but its too messy.

Its not exactly the US government behind it, but the multinationals and banks that the US government caters to, as well as other right wing governments around the world. They just use the government as an ally. They want to take Venezuela down because they dared to take some control of their own resources back from agreements signed by previous bought-out politicians decades ago.

And they'll probably win. sigh. With the MSM here doing their job of demonizing the left of center government there, they even have a bunch of DU members fooled. And funding of opposition groups and papers over there. The CIA have learned to destroy a nation other ways, by fomenting misery and shortages in the population and demanding debt payments immediately, (while other countries get more leniency). And a campaign of misinformation at home.

Slowly but surely they will have Maduro and his party on their knees and have installed a reliable right-wing puppet back in office. Then you will see them easing off on debt demands, flooding the country with cheap goods (like toilet paper), lifting restrictions and the new leader will hand back over his countries resources to the .01%. And the MSM here will show images of the people happier with their new rolls of toilet paper and televisions. And all will be RIGHT with the world.

starting with their asinine currency laws. Toss in declining oil production, deficit spending and general economic mismanagement and you get what VZ is today.
