Omaha vigil honors Trayvon Martin

About 250 people came out Sunday night for a candlelight vigil honoring Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen shot and killed last month by a neighborhood watch captain.
Attendees held signs bearing Martin's photo, with sayings like "What if it were your son?"
Martin, 17, was shot Feb. 26. Authorities have not charged the shooter, who claimed self-defense under the state's "stand-your-ground" law. Martin was unarmed.
Organizers urged the crowd to do their part to prevent such laws from being enacted in Nebraska. While the even was about Martin, they said, it could have happened to any young black man in Omaha.
