Cash raised for Mo. cop surpasses Brown donations

Source: USA Today

Online fundraisers for Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson surpassed the amount of money raised for Michael Brown's family as Wilson supporters gathered in an afternoon rally.

Supporters of Wilson, the police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., gathered Saturday at Barney's Sports Pub in south St. Louis.

"Many of us have received death threats toward ourselves and our families," the speaker said, wearing sunglasses, paint beneath her eyes and a baseball cap. "We will not hide. We will no longer live in fear … If you support Darren Wilson, make your voices heard."

She refused to give the media her name, saying "You want my name? I am Darren Wilson. We are Darren Wilson."

A rabid right-wing racist who was tape-recorded by FBI detailing the assassination of JFK "with a high-powered rifle from a high-rise office building," then a couple of weeks later appears in photographs in Dealey Plaza should make the front page and lead every broadcast, but it doesn't, for some reason.

I posted fact and sourced them. If you have different evidence to introduce, do so. Don't invent crap I never said.

Here's what the FBI tape recorded Milteer saying:

Transcript of Milteer-Somersett Tape

Note: This is a transcript of a tape recorded on 9 Nov 1963 by Miami Police informant William Somersett, recording a conversion with right-wing extremist Joseph Milteer. The transcript is taken from Harold Weisberg's essay The Milteer Documents...

EXCERPT...

SOMERSETT: I don't know, I think Kennedy is coming here on the 18th, or something like that to make some kind of speech, I don't know what it is, but I imagine it will be on the TV, and you can be on the look for that, I think it is the 18th that he is suppose to be here. I don't know what it is suppose to be about.

MILTEER: You can bet your bottom dollar he is going to have a lot to say about the Cubans, there are so many of them here.

SOMERSETT: Yeah, well he will have a thousand bodyguards, don't worry about that.

MILTEER: The more bodyguards he has, the easier it is to get him.

SOMERSETT: What?

MILTEER: The more bodyguards he has the more easier it is to get him.

SOMERSETT: Well how in the hell do you figure would be the best way to get him?

MILTEER: From an office building with a high-powered rifle, how many people does he have going around who look just like him? Do you know about that?

SOMERSETT: No, I never heard that he had anybody.

MILTEER: He has got them.

SOMERSETT: He has?

MILTEER: He has about fifteen. Whenever he goes any place they he knows he is a marked man.

SOMERSETT: You think he knows he is a marked man?

MILTEER: Sure he does.

SOMERSETT: They are really going to try to kill him?

MILTEER: Oh, yeah, it is in the working, Brown himself, Brown is just as likely to get him as anybody. He hasn't said so, but he tried to get Martin Luther King.

SOMERSETT: He did.

MILTEER: Oh yes, he followed him for miles and miles, and couldn't get close enough to him.

SOMERSETT: You know exactly where he is in Atlanta don't you.

MILTEER: Martin Luther King, yeah.

SOMERSETT: Bustus Street .

MILTEER: Yeah 530.

SOMERSETT: Oh Brown tried to get him huh?

MILTEER: Yeah.

SOMERSETT: Well, he will damn sure do it, I will tell you that. Well, that is why, look, you see, well, that is why we have to be so careful, you know that Brown is operating strong.

MILTEER: He ain't going to play you know.

SOMERSETT: That is right.

MILTEER: He is going for broke.

SOMERSETT: I never asked Brown about his business or anything, you know just what he told me, told us, you know. But after the conversation, and the way he talked to us, there is no question in my mind about who knocked the church off in Birmingham, you can believe that, that is the way I figured it.

MILTEER: That is right, it is about the ony way you can figure it.

SOMERSETT: That is right.

MILTEER: Not being there, not knowing anything.

SOMERSETT: But just from his conversation, as you and me know him, but if they did, it is their business, like you say .

MILTEER: It is up to the individual.

SOMERSETT: That is right. They are individual operators, we don't want that within the party. Hitting this Kennedy is going to be a hard proposition, I tell you, I believe, you may have figured out a way to get him, you may have figured out the office building, and all that. I don't know how them Secret Service agents cover all them office buildings, or anywhere he is going, do you know whether they do that or not?

MILTEER: Well, if they have any suspicion they do that of course. But without suspicion chances are that they wouldn't. You take there in Washington, of course it is the wrong time of the year, but you take pleasant weather, he comes out on the veranda, and somebody could be in a hotel room across the way there, and pick him off just like .

SOMERSETT: Is that right?

MILTEER: Sure, disassemble a gun, you don't have to take a gun up there, you can take it up in pieces, all those guns come knock down, you can take them apart.

"Legacy of Secrecy." It explains all of the deep CIA/Mafia background of the JFK assassination. And it has been established seemingly forever that Oswald was a low-level CIA asset and had been for years; he was also set up as the patsy by top mobsters and a truly lunatic CIA operative named David Morales, who was working for the Mob as much as for the CIA. Morales actually confessed to being a key player in the JFK hit. And Jack Ruby had tight mob connections going back for decades.

67. Right on topic. Ask Abraham BOLDEN, first African American Secret Service agent on White House duty.
Sun Aug 24, 2014, 10:13 PM
Aug 2014

Personally appointed by President John F. Kennedy to the White House detail, Secret Service agent Abraham Bolden reported overt racism by his fellow agents and outright hostility toward the "n------loving president," quoting fellow Secret Service agents on the JFK detail.

Abraham Bolden speaks at JFK Lancer.

The story of a man who told the truth:

After 45 Years, a Civil Rights Hero Waits for Justice

Thom Hartmann
June 12, 2009 11:52 AM

A great miscarriage of justice has kept most Americas from learning about a Civil Rights pioneer who worked with President John F. Kennedy. But there is finally a way for citizens to not only right that wrong, but bring closure to the most tragic chapter of American presidential history.

After an outstanding career in law enforcement, Abraham Bolden was appointed by JFK to be the first African American presidential Secret Service agent, where he served with distinction. He was part of the Secret Service effort that prevented JFK's assassination in Chicago, three weeks before Dallas. But Bolden was framed by the Mafia and arrested on the very day he went to Washington to tell the Warren Commission staff about the Chicago attempt against JFK.

Bolden was sentenced to six years in prison, despite glaring problems with his prosecution. His arrest resulted from accusations by two criminals Bolden had sent to prison. In Bolden's first trial, an apparently biased judge told the jury that Bolden was guilty, even before they began their deliberations. Though granted a new trial because of that, the same problematic judge was assigned to oversee Bolden's second trial, which resulted in his conviction. Later, the main witness against Bolden admitted committing perjury against him. A key member of the prosecution even took the fifth when asked about the perjury. Yet Bolden's appeals were denied, and he had to serve hard time in prison, and today is considered a convicted felon.

After the release of four million pages of JFK assassination files in the 1990s, it became clear that Bolden -- and the official secrecy surrounding the Chicago attempt against JFK -- were due to National Security concerns about Cuba, that were unknown to Bolden, the press, Congress, and the public not just in 1963, but for the next four decades.

SNIP...

Abraham Bolden paid a heavy price for trying to tell the truth about events involving the man he was sworn to protect -- JFK -- that became mired in National Security concerns. Bolden still lives in Chicago, and has never given up trying to clear his name.

Will Abraham Bolden live to finally see the justice so long denied to him?

CONTINUED...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/thom-hartmann/after-45-years-a-civil-ri_b_213834.html

After the assassination, he went to Washington on his own dime and reported what he saw to the Warren Commission. For his trouble -- and despite an exemplary record as a Brinks detective, Illinois State Trooper, and Secret Service agent -- Bolden was framed by the government using a paid informant's admitted perjury and spent a long time in prison. The government also drugged him and put him into psychiatric hospitals. His real crime was telling the truth.

Americans know the Truth: the country hasn't been the same since Nov. 22, 1963. President Kennedy kept the nation out of Vietnam and started toward the moon. Imagine what the New Frontier could have become for us today? Certainly would not be a time where "money trumps peace."

Look what they did to "It takes a village to raise a child" and we can see how the right uses its hatred to move the political syntax rightward. And, from what I can tell, has served to move the nation in the same direction.

13. The only supposed justification for his use of deadly force comes from ultra nut right wing sources
Sat Aug 23, 2014, 04:30 PM
Aug 2014

Supposedly, on the tape showing Brown's body lying in the street for five hours, there is a voice off screen that can be heard saying that Brown came forward just before the fatal shot was fired. That was noticed by a right wing nutter website named Conservative Treehouse. The Daily Caller then picked it up and started talking about the "bull rush" and, together with Josie's rant to a radio talk show, it went from "came forward" to "bull rush". Finally, Fox News picked it up. It might even have been Wilson himself, off camera, who said Brown was coming forward (whether that means staggered forward a couple steps or more is unknown). Without forensic evidence or witnesses, the nuts are convinced that Brown bull rushed officer Wilson. And probably in too many cases, they don't really care if there was unjustified use of deadly force, considering the races of the individuals involved.

I'm appalled that there have been members of DU with more than a handful of posts who have been repeating the version coming exclusively from insane sources like The Daily Caller (there have been very few but they really stick out).

It's also ironic that right wing psychotic nuts can immediately go from hating on cops at the Bundy Ranch because they represent big government along with hating lawyers who defend criminals, and hating unions, to applauding a white cop who shoots and unarmed citizen and a cop who is told to clam up, not issue a report, or a statement upon advice of the police union lawyer.

Do these people honestly think cops can do no wrong, ever? Or do they even care about that factor, considering Wilson's skin color?

38. It sucks. With all due disgust, there probably are more racists than black people in the US.

Anytime they won't give their names, they should fear their hate. It means there's still hope for their despicable souls.

The gofundme page collecting contributions has been moved over to the police union that is collecting the money. I wonder if the conservative law-and-order types know their money is going to a union (Lodge 15 of the Fraternal Order of Police).

From the article:

A crowd-funding page created for Wilson raised $235,010 from 5,902 people before organizers stopped accepting donations Friday after surpassing their goal of $100,000 in four days. The group then opened a new fundraising page, which already has more than $104,000.

This amount surpasses the more than $214,000 raised in support of the Michael Brown Memorial Fund. According to the page, which was set up by Brown family lawyer Benjamin Crump, "the funds will assist his family with costs that they will acquire as they seek justice on Michael's behalf."

The article links to the various organizations listing the amounts.

If I find different numbers, I'll try to make sure to add them.

54. I think Wilson's best option is to come clean and hope for a lenient jury.

Serve some time. Otherwise, his life will be in danger. At the very least he will need to hide his identity. I'm not saying that it's justifiable to want to exact revenge on him. I'm saying that may be inevitable at this point.

A very public and heartfelt apology is also needed.

Edwin Black documented how the NAZIs got inspiration from American Academia.

Eugenics and the Nazis -- the California connection

by Edwin Black
Sunday, November 9, 2003

Hitler and his henchmen victimized an entire continent and exterminated millions in his quest for a so-called Master Race.

But the concept of a white, blond-haired, blue-eyed master Nordic race didn't originate with Hitler. The idea was created in the United States, and cultivated in California, decades before Hitler came to power. California eugenicists played an important, although little-known, role in the American eugenics movement's campaign for ethnic cleansing.

Eugenics was the pseudoscience aimed at "improving" the human race. In its extreme, racist form, this meant wiping away all human beings deemed "unfit," preserving only those who conformed to a Nordic stereotype. Elements of the philosophy were enshrined as national policy by forced sterilization and segregation laws, as well as marriage restrictions, enacted in 27 states. In 1909, California became the third state to adopt such laws. Ultimately, eugenics practitioners coercively sterilized some 60,000 Americans, barred the marriage of thousands, forcibly segregated thousands in "colonies," and persecuted untold numbers in ways we are just learning. Before World War II, nearly half of coercive sterilizations were done in California, and even after the war, the state accounted for a third of all such surgeries.

California was considered an epicenter of the American eugenics movement. During the 20th century's first decades, California's eugenicists included potent but little-known race scientists, such as Army venereal disease specialist Dr. Paul Popenoe, citrus magnate Paul Gosney, Sacramento banker Charles Goethe, as well as members of the California state Board of Charities and Corrections and the University of California Board of Regents.

Eugenics would have been so much bizarre parlor talk had it not been for extensive financing by corporate philanthropies, specifically the Carnegie Institution, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Harriman railroad fortune. They were all in league with some of America's most respected scientists from such prestigious universities as Stanford, Yale, Harvard and Princeton. These academicians espoused race theory and race science, and then faked and twisted data to serve eugenics' racist aims.

Edwin Black should be required reading for all high school and college students, a top scholar. For some reason, his works get almost no coverage in American media. Another coincidence!
