Centerplate CEO shown abusing dog

Source: ESPN

Sports catering giant Centerplate said Tuesday night it was conducting an internal review after surveillance video of its chief executive kicking his friend's puppy and yanking it by its leash went public.

The company had previously said the incident -- which involved its CEO Des Hague in a Vancouver apartment building -- was a personal matter, but further distanced itself in a statement released Tuesday night.

"Centerplate does not condone the mistreatment of animals by any of its employees," the statement said. "Mr. Hague has agreed to attend counseling to address his anger management issues and has publicly expressed he is deeply ashamed and remorseful for his behavior. He has apologized to everyone directly involved as well as to the company's clients and employees, and has pledged a significant, personal, multiyear financial commitment to help support the protection and safety of animals."

It remains to be seen whether the company, who has business with nine NFL teams, including the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers, will see any repercussions from its CEO's actions.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s campaign will be making another stop in Stamford this July to raise funds as he takes on President Barack Obama in November’s election.

Carol and Des Hague and Stefanie and Tony Spadaccini are hosting the event.
The fundraiser will be held at Trump Tower, 1 Broad St., Stamford. There is a suggested donation of $500 for the reception and $2,500 for the dinner, according to the flier.

Mr Hague should be in The Hague: Animal abuse is right up there with war crimes in my book.

To make it to the top within the modern corporation will require someone to not have much of a conscience in order to not go crazy (or get a good night's sleep).

The modern corporation is a fucking nightmare.

That is the problem. These men and women who get promoted up the ladder(or inherit it) have very strong sociopathic tendencies.
I wish more people would recognize this. The personalities that help the sociopaths are also very dangerous, but less visible.

I couldn't find this in a news article, but the wikipedia entry says they took the dog away from that asshole. It is very confusing about this friend business, was he watching the dog for someone or what?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centerplate

Centerplate apparently runs food concessions at sports events.

Update: It was his dog, the lying asshole. So the dog has been subjected to this for who knows how long.
