This is the news everyone been waiting for. Not great news by any means but its been talked about for weeks now.
We only have 3 major search engines so to see one fall kinda sucks. But Yahoo has lost it way for sure.

they are still powered by google.
I now have google mail -- did not ask for it.

I have AT & T as my phone provider -- is that why I have to have google or can I just dump it as my 2nd email address and keep Microsoft email only.

I am confused.

I use the finance page as much as the search engine itself and google's finance page looks like 3rd graders designed it. As for the search engine, Google and Yahoo yield identical results 99% of the time.

In terms of search and general look and feel.

I made the switch to Google Search and Gmail forever ago.

Wasn't having a problem with the two until about 6 months ago.

They " got along together" is the best way I can explain it.

Now , yahoo "fights" with Outlook ~ It won't let me do a search with Internel Explorer , I can only search using the yahoo.

Yahoo has certainly changed on my computer and not for the better.

I remember when they made their first major push into advertising. They used to love the ads that would take up half the screen. A Yahoo V.P. was interviewed and asked "Do you think these ads are too intrusive" and he replied "No, I don't think they are intrusive enough."

Oops ~ Edit to add that I just talked to my computer guy, he is coming to work on my issues this afternoon.

They have taken over my computer.

They have so many ADS even AFTER I hit the OP OUT button they still keep coming.

There is one there now that I can erase, no matter what I do.
It was sent by email and I can even put it in the "trash."

in 1996. It was cool back then. They have become the greed whores like most big corps.

When Gmail came out I grabbed it. Really, that's the only one I use now. But yes, Yahoo sucks!

Soon, gmail will suck!

I can't find my messages they have so many stupid ads.
No quality and they take up so much of the view, I can hardly find my messages now!

When I use my Microsoft Outlook, all is peaceful and calm.

Bottom line Microsoft is Heaven and yahoo/google is Hell In My Computer.
