Same-sex couples wed in Barrow as state seeks stay on gay marriage ruling
Source: Alaska Dispatch News
Update, 5:45 p.m.: It appears that at least two same-sex couples have been married in Barrow, according to Kristine Hilderbrand, who said state Magistrate Mary Treiber waived the three-day waiting period required after issuing of marriage licenses. Hilderbrand said she married Sarah Ellis at around 4 p.m. today. The two are likely the first same-sex couple to be married in Alaska. CONTRACT, and Churches believe they have sole domain over the issue, when that has not been the fact at any other time in history. Churches are just being busy-bodies, because they hate gay people. If Churches can get away with legislating marriage CIVIL LAW, we KNOW Churches won't stop there. They'll want their say in EVERYTHING in Civil Law. And that would be very, very bad. Think Hobby Lobby, but on steroids.

People should be able to snuggle with the person of their choice - regardless of gender.
