(56,582 posts)She needs 24 hour home care and Medicare doesn't cover that. Any ideas? I want to see home care workers make more (she pays $10/hour as it is) but a lot of their clients are at the end of their financial rope as it is.

(8,020 posts)The only way she could afford to do it was because of extra financial aid from mom. Her clients loved her, but she finally HAD to quit and to get a better paying job, which thanks be to whatever, she WAS able to find. It's criminal how LITTLE we pay these folks. The sanitation workers who pick up the garbage (whom I TOTALLY respect and honor) get WAY better wages that do these people who are taking care of folks who need extra in-home help. MORE of this should be publicly funded. CUT THE MILITARY and fund our own people! Ms Bigmack
