Seven bodies linked to murder suspect found in Indiana

Source: BBC

The bodies of seven women have been recovered in the US state of Indiana as a man confessed to a recent murder and led authorities to more.

The body of Afrikka Hardy, 19, was found at a Motel 6 on Friday. She was reportedly strangled.

A second victim has been identified as Anith Jones, 35, though tests to determine cause of death have yet to be performed on her or the other unidentified victims.

Jones, missing since 8 October, was found in an abandoned home after a friend was unable to reach her and contacted police.

Why when arrested for breaking and entry was he not jailed? Why are violent men let go again and again and agin? Clearly women do not matter to the system. Am I correct in concluding that suffering does not count?????

I know that this article does not have this info, but another that I read did.

I want longer sentencing for sex offenders, and immediate returns to jail for any further crimes. Look how many women he killed in such a short amount of time- horrifying!

About the "serial" groper in Seattle....

He grabbed a gal while walking down the street...but, she chased him down and took pictures...which she then posted to Twitter.

The police didn't want to do anything...even though they knew who he was and that he had a record for a variety of stuff. Only when the posts went viral and 200 women posted that he was the guy that grabbed them...did the police arrest him...on a parole violation.

Things in America are fucked up.

I'm dismayed that the murderer of Hannah Graham raped TWO women in college, and then... nothing.

Now he's up for at least two murders and one rape.

Reported on it a day ago. Just because someone posts a link from a furgein press source doesn't mean that it was the first reporting of it. Just that it was the first place someone glommed on to it.

5. Police: Indiana suspect hints at more killings - it could go back as far as 20 years.

GARY, Ind. (AP) — Police investigating the slayings of seven northwestern Indiana women whose bodies were found over the weekend said Monday it could be the work of a serial killer, and that the suspect has told them his victims might go back 20 years.

Hammond Police Chief John Doughty said at a news conference that the suspect is 43-year-old Darren Vann of nearby Gary, Indiana, who was convicted of a sex offense in Texas in 2009. His confession to the slaying of a woman in Hammond led police to the grisly discovery of six other bodies in Gary, including three in on the same block, authorities said.

He said the Gary slayings appear to have happened recently, though Vann indicated there could be earlier victims. He said police are not actively looking for more bodies and have no indication that any murders have occurred in another state. He said Vann is cooperating with investigators in the hope of making a deal with prosecutors.

"It could go back as far as 20 years, based on some statements we have, but that has yet to be corroborated," Doughty said.

I just read this report on the possibility he could have been killing for that long. Damn. I hope he's lying, but it's worth trying to track him and look for missing women who fit his preferred type that he may have had contact with.
