Right-Wing Activists Promise '1960's Era Sit-Ins' To Keep ID's From Undocumented Immigrants

Anti-immigrant activists William Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC and James Neighbors of Overpasses for America warned that if President Obama takes executive action to prevent the deportation of certain undocumented immigrants, they will respond with “60s era sit-ins” and chain themselves to the doors of government offices charged with distributing identification documents. Gheen and Neighbors, who are teaming up with a number of groups including Numbers USA and the anti-Obama Two Million Bikers to D.C. this weekend to hold a series of protests linking undocumented immigrants to Ebola, appeared on Blog Talk Radio’s “Patriot Nation” show yesterday to promote the event and to warn of a possible executive action by Obama. “We’re going to need some very brave people who are willing to face arrest by peaceably conducting ‘60s era sit-ins to actually go in and block those offices that will be set up all over the place to start giving ID to these illegal immigrants,” Gheen said. “We’re going to have to march into those offices and try to physically stop them from doing what they’re doing, hoping that that will awake this nation.” Neighbors one-upped him, promising to “chain myself to the front door” of offices issuing documents to immigrants so “they’re going to have to arrest me.” “I’ll chain my arm to yours, brother, and we’ll put a big piece of PVC around them so they can’t cut the chain and we’ll chain ourselves to the door and do what we need to do,” Gheen responded.

I read the Fox News story which is probably the less whacked of the options. It quotes someone at USCIS saying that the are just anticipating what they THINK Obama will do. First, that is bulshit. They aren't going to go through the contract preparation stage on speculation. There are still Bush operatives and sympathizers in many areas Second, the 9 million initial order part would cover the majority, as we understand it, of the current illegal immigrant population. 34 million is over 10% of the current US population.

This stinks to high heaven like another RW lead-them-around-by-their-noses hoax.

These hypocrites don't have clue as to why there were protests in the 60's and 70's.
I was there and I was participating in the California protests and just maybe they should look at there present day draft cards and understand why people (human beings) were being "drafted" and not now.
We were not able to vote there slick, but we were able to be used as fodder and die in the great cause to suppress the expansion of communism.
And just for giggles maybe they should revisit a song called "Ride Captain Ride" by Blues Image then they just might understand something about the 60's and 70's and if they don't understand the song they then have no right to equate and use my generations
