(51,666 posts)He was a racist troll who apparently thought the nurse in question was Amber Vinson and he made a crack about her and Obama and payback for slavery.
What on earth are YOU talking about???

(3,580 posts)i thought you meant why would she go to the wh. These folks are going to have to resume their lives and I thought going to the wh would be reassuring.

(7,402 posts)To all of the critics saying we are all going to die. And what better time for this message to get out. So far the only patient to die of Ebola in this country is the one that did not have health insurance and that is also the only case of where it spread. Texas, remember, did not opt for Medicaid expansion which could have resulted in a better outcome should Texas made a different choice.

(14,881 posts)it can be very hard on your system. Just read that Emory announced today that Vinson has tested neg for virus but they are continuing supportive treatment. They tested Pham 5 times and got 5 negs before releasing her, but they said that's because they're doing research. Still, they may want a couple confirmatory negs on Vinson too. Iirc they'll do at least 1 or 2 confirmatories on Bentley as well. And he still needs to complete his 21 day quarantine.

(14,881 posts)I want to see the new Ebola treatment hospitals perform.
When Spencer walks out of Belleview, I think a lot of people will breathe a sigh of relief. I was concerned with the CDC's assurances that any hospital in the US could handle it because I knew first hand that was simply not the case and it didn't make sense to try to prepare 5,000 hospitals for a 1 in a million chance of a walk-in. The new guidelines and plans make much more sense to me.
Given the totally out of control situation in W. Africa, there is no doubt there will be more cases showing up here. In time, it will just be the alarm bell ringing one time too often and people will tune it out. But that will happen faster when regular hospitals successfully treat patients.

(6,278 posts)it sounds exactly as I would have expected it to sound. Always understaffing, always belittling the nursing staff. And yes, where is all the waste supposed to go?
Hoping things get better for all of the medical people!
