Hillary Clinton, Kay Hagan make appeal to women during Charlotte rally
Source: Charlotte Observer
Democrat Hillary Clinton helped Sen. Kay Hagan put a spotlight on womens issues and womens votes at a Saturday rally in Charlotte.
Ten days before the Senate election, the star power of the likely presidential candidate helped Hagan draw one of her largest crowds. More than 1,000 people campaign officials put the number at 1,800 packed a Charlotte Convention Center ballroom.
There is nothing more important to Kay than who turns out, Clinton said. You can always count on Kay. ... Now whats important is whether Kay can count on you.
Clintons appearance came as Hagan continues to be locked in a tight race with Republican Thom Tillis, the speaker of the North Carolina House. The most expensive race in the country, its already flooded North Carolina homes with more than 90,000 TV ads.

If you really want to gripe about that article you linked to, start a thread on it instead of hijacking this one. Some of us are interested in the elections that are taking place, and that's what she was doing--helping a Democrat garner votes (you should try it, yourself, sometime).

Yeah..."I" didn't think so, either... OR that you'd read the TOS when you signed up here.
In case you're unclear, we are in election season, and it sounds to me like you are bashing, trashing and depressing the candidacy of the individual HRC was there to support, Kay Hagan. Your thread derailing is obvious and childish and you should just stop doing it.
Here is a link--you might want to read it. http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=termsofservice

No one is censoring you, so stop with the faux whining. You can easily get up off your behind and start your own complaining thread instead of crapping all over this one.
What you are doing is rude and uncivil.

(2,941 posts)Hillary is not the right person to drum up the Democratic Party base, unless Democrats are trying to attract more right wing extremists.
With Hillary, it's always wait and see which way the wind blows, isn't it.
hahahaha, I guess she's not running by way of this carefully designed website to her exacting specifications using her images from her various $100K to $200K speaking tours to Goldman Sachs and various other corporations interested in having influence over a Hillary Clinton presidency.

I made my point and left the thread. End of story.
You on the other hand, are digging yourself into a hole you can't get out of.

(135,425 posts)You really add to the atmosphere.
FWIW, you're really showing us your lack of knowledge WRT the political process. If you understood how it worked, you would know that there is no coordination between political candidates and PACs at this stage of the game. NONE.
That isn't "her" website you linked to so proudly, but hey, whatever. Facts be damned when you're off on a smear campaign!
Talk about digging yourself a hole! You're giving lessons, here!
You DID make your point--you've let everyone know just how little you care about electing more Democrats and fewer Republicans to public office with your disruptive and derailing ways.
whereisjustice
(2,941 posts)As far as your assertions that Hillary isn't running for President, that simply defies reality.
This was an opportunity for Clinton. She took advantage of it. Now she needs to deal with the consequences. I think it's appropriate to point out that Clinton brings some unwelcome baggage to the Democratic Party, including her stated admiration of Henry Kissinger.
If I were running for President like Hillary, perhaps your personal attacks against me would be justified. However, since you made this personal against me, instead of discussing the broad problem of Hillary's right wing political history, you have proven to be unworthy of trust.
MADem
(135,425 posts)It's not cute or clever. There is a race that a woman named Kay Hagan is involved in, there are only a few days left, Henry Kissinger is not on the ballot, nor was he on that stage addressing nearly two thousand votors on behalf of that candidate, like Clinton was. But you had to ignore the TOS, and engage in disruptive conduct.
It's obvious that your goal in this thread isn't to support Democratic candidates for public office and you have made that abundantly clear.
In case you are unclear, and I have reason to believe you are-- this is NOT your thread so if you want to discuss any aspect of Clinton's persona, go do it on your OWN thread. And because you are plainly confused about what the words "personal" and "attack" mean-- this isn't a "personal attack" when all I am doing is making note that it is uncivil to derail the thread of another person.
Your behavior on this thread says all anyone needs to know about you. That isn't an attack, either--it's an observation.
And NEWS FLASH, there, pal--Hillary isn't running until she SAYS she is. That's how it works, regardless of speculation. As for you, you won't be running, so why even speculate?
I don't want or need your "trust." Based on your conduct here, why in hell would I?

(2,941 posts)I know Hillary as a person. And as a personal friend, I would say yes, shed be a good president, Kissinger said. But shed put me under a great conflict of interest if she were a candidate because I intend to support the Republicans.
Sept. 2014.
I didn't know the she was required to gush over Kissinger as an official duty of Sec. of State. And unless her warm affection for the man and his polices have waned (in the interest of political expediency, of course) the photo counts as recent.

(30,247 posts)That post has nothing to do with the posted article. It seems that some can't help but attack Hillary no what's the topic at hand.
If people bashing Dems would spend one tenth of their time doing a little GOTV, maybe we could get a working majority and get some shit done.

(2,086 posts)you're driven, but this article is really about Hagan's campaign. Your need to make it about Clinton so you can push your agenda is starting to look like fixation.

Everyday he and Michelle are in different states to promote Democrats. The photos and videos are out there if one looks at Obama friendly websites, but not on MSM. This is what he does after a day's work in the White House...

And by far, the majority of Democratic candidates have NOT run from the legacy of the Obama administration nor the President or his wife.
The ones freaked out by the conservative voters, or more correctly, the millions of media dollars expended to brainwash the same and keep Democrats depressed, are paraded here endlessly to make it look like Obama, the ACA, etc. are unpopular. They are not.
May the enthusiasm of those who are voting, and in some places the early voting is very heavy, at the 2012 level, prevail against the naysayers. May they be as distraught as Brillo and Rove on the night of 2012 election, horrified when all the people they blatantly ignored for years, showed up to prove they did indeed exist, despite their invisibility or lack of caring about voting MSM claims.
The GOP, Libertarians, etc. posting online have no feelers in those communities. May they wake up in horror and disgust as more Dems are elected.
DU is fortunately not the real world of people that go out to GOTV, except for a few like you, S4P, JAG, MM, H20M, SKP, Sheshe, and more than I can remember, who don't post so much, but who get out there and pound the pavement to make life better for all of us by what you do to GOTV.
Some people want us to fail for the sake of creating a state of anarchy that the very oligarchs they say with their mouths they oppose, will seized upon as always.
Most people don't want that, they have worked hard to keep democracy going and care for those important to them. It's not over until all the votes are counted and the winners declared.
Thanks, MADem. And one last picture from that rally of those who will vote in November and in years to come:
Clearly, they haven't fallen for the Debbie Downer talk, the Daily Paul, Alex Jones, Tea Party or the Segretti 4.0 version of reality. They have a future to build on that those guys can't begin to imagine.
