Nikko Jenkins says 'vote for Lee Terry' in court

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - In court Wednesday for a hearing regarding his competency, convicted killer Nikko Jenkins shouted his opinion on the race for Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District.

“Vote Lee Terry guys, greatest Republican ever. He worships my (unintelligible),” Jenkins shouted.

“Vote for Lee Terry. He’s a great guy,” he added.

Republicans and Democrats have sparred over the use of Nikko Jenkins’ case in attack ads against Democratic candidate Brad Ashford.

So Republicans make a crazy guilt-by-association ad associating Ashford with freeing a man who went on to murderer. The murderer then turns around and supports Terry. I wonder how that'd work in a campaign ad?

In more serious news, State Sen. Ernie Chambers (D) called for charges against a prison psychologist for failing to disclose Jenkins's mental condition.
