Poll: Crist Pulls Slightly Ahead In Florida Governor's Race

Source: TPM

In a race that has looked deadlocked in recent weeks, Democratic former Gov. Charlie Crist has opened up a 3-point lead over incumbent Gov. Rick Scott (R), according to a poll released Thursday.

The Quinnipiac University poll found Crist receiving support from 43 percent of likely voters, compared to Scott’s 40 percent. Libertarian Adrian Wyllie received 8 percent.

A Quinnipiac poll released the previous week had shown a tied race between Crist and Scott. The latest poll showed Crist gaining support from independent voters, where he led Scott by 18 points.

I hope all the set in their ways retirees and Jesus jumpers have realized what a crook Scott is. I also hope they care.

I have little love for Crist, he's still a Republican. However, the only public position Scott should qualify for is inmate.

I can only hope this poll is right and that Skeletor is going down. He never should have been elected in the first place. I know there are issues with Crist, but at least he has not bilked Medicare and Medicaid out of scads of dollars.....and gotten away with it. Just to see Scott have to concede to Crist will be a happy night for our house. See not all the retirees in Florida are right wing nuts. Some of us do have a grain of sense.

his ads are anti-Obama, lying, and deceitful. Unbelievable fantasy mixed with racism. He is betting his reelection on (1) The ACA (have get to see it referred to as ACA-always "OBAMACARE&quot being forced on the citizens of Florida (2) The liberals are going to take over Florida if something is not done (3) Washington is micro-managing our lives.

It is a rare thing to see his opponent mentioned in his propaganda - it's Obama, Obama, Obama.

It's a constant hammering away in phone calls, radio ads, newspaper splashes, TV ads . I've never seen this amount of political advertising in my life.
