Court order temporarily restricts nurse's movement

Source: MSN News

FORT KENT, Maine (AP) — Maine health officials obtained a 24-hour court order restricting Kaci Hickox's movement after the nurse repeatedly defied the state's quarantine for medical workers who have treated Ebola patients.

A judge granted the order Thursday limiting Hickox's travel, requiring a three-foot buffer if she encounters people, and banning her from public places until there's a further decision Friday.

The state went to court Thursday, following through with a threat to try to impose restrictions on her until the 21-day incubation period for Ebola ends on Nov. 10. In court documents, the judge indicated further action was anticipated Friday.

Police were under orders to monitor the movements of the nurse who twice left home, once to talk to reporters Wednesday and again for a bike ride with her boyfriend on Thursday.

to protect them or feed them or house them or keep them warm or keep them safe from disease.

The EBOLA situation is the perfect opportunity for nature to show the world just how dangerous and destructive and deadly the teaparty type ideology really is.

That ideology could and might wipe out the human race.

Either climate change or an airborne type disease could do it, and all you need are scared and ignorant people responding incorrectly.

As bad as an airborne Ebola would be (no such thing, just making example), what we are sure of is the way righty would react to it would make it worse by a factor of ten thousand

the media.

I would assume there has been an appeal filed already, this could go quickly to SCOTUS. Hickox's lawyer is as feisty and protective of civil rights and liberty as she is.

to try and figure out where all this hate, anti science, bigotry, racism and intentional ignorance came from.

I am at this moment sitting a few feet away from intelligent men who run profitable businesses who think Obama might be from Kenya or that he is a Socialist for sure, Communist maybe.

These are people who are not spending their day hating minorities in an overt way because there are so few around for them to hate, so I think it simply comes down to a hate for the word "liberal" - sure if said "liberal" is also Black or Female or etc, then the hate and distrust is deeper, but it could be anybody just as long as it is a "liberal"

Everything they have in life either exists or is better because of liberal ideology somewhere along the line, yet they are completely ignorant of this and refuse to learn about it.

The damage done by the propaganda is irreversible, we either will survive this generation long enough for the minorities and non brain washed to take over, or we wont.

4. She needs to contact the judge and give him a list of all the things she will need for the 24 hrs.

What foods she was planning on buying, groceries and take out, personal items, movies to rent, cleaning supplies, laundry and dry cleaning, etc. Then sneeze in front of the policeman taking the message or into the phone with who ever she is talking to.

Charge it all to the state or the judge.

If she were made to go to the hospital and placed in an isolation ward against her will, who would decide and who pays the bills? I could see myself having some fun with this if the bill went to the state.

FORT KENT, Maine (AP) — A Maine judge has rejected a bid by state health officials to restrict the movement of nurse Kaci Hickox, who defied a quarantine for medical workers who have treated Ebola patients.

Judge Charles C. LaVerdiere ruled Friday that she should continue daily monitoring and coordinate travel with state officials so monitoring can continue. But, because she's not showing symptoms, the judge says she's not infectious.

I am so tire of the far right trying so hard to panic everybody over one issue or another. It all about distraction.
