NBC News: McConnell Projected to Win Re-Election in Kentucky

Source: MSNBC

NBC News projects Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell will defeat Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes and be re-elected in Kentucky.

McConnell, the Republican leader in the United States Senate, was a prime target for Democrats eager to focus voters’ frustration with Washington on a big GOP name. His mediocre approval ratings in the state made him a particularly appealing focus for foes, although a much-discussed primary challenge by businessman Matt Bevin in May ended in a blowout.

despite the doom and gloom I prefer the .. what people think are conservatives finally get called on. (R) that would be my best hope . too bad it takes out Obama but if it takes one bad election to set things right in 2016 so be it.

but idiot media channels calling elections is so far fucking out of date. They really need to get out of the biz for that. This is not exactly an important election for me. 2016 is. although I kinda hope the Governors aim to the left again

Given the vote totals, it could be that 1 county is Jefferson County. If Grimes leads by only 5 points in an urban county, she is going to be walloped in the far more conservative rural counties, which could easily break 80/20 for the turtle. Extrapolating statewide, that is why they have called the race for him.

You drove off Ashley Judd, because she was a capital L-Liberal who openly compared Republicans to the men who raped her. It was fitting, but because you wanted to still be friends with the same people that would glaldy have you shot, you enocuraged Grims, a woman that so far right wing she could not even admit she voted for the same man most of the country did.

Never mind that thanks to Ky's Democrat governor, many people in that sate got medical care, which will soon be corrected now that Mitch is back. Of course, the news will not cover the peopledead who would have lived if Mitch did not destroy what was made.

The lesson that we SHOULD LEARN is that the Clinton way of Democratic Policy is useless. Obama tried to copy it, and right now he is a lame duck. Grimes copied it, and she lost.

Of course, the elsson the media will say is the lie Edrendell sold, that only a true "moderate" can save the country now, which of course means give giv3e and give more to the REAL WELFARE QUEENS, Wall Street!

and if she runs in 2016 and loses, the one possible silver lining is that we can finally be rid of the center-right nonsense that has made us lose so much of what we cared for.

But then some people will blame it on Obama, whose mistake was that he did not run from the Clintons when he had the chance.

McConnell was polling +5 for the last month and then wins by +16? Same story in several other states as well. Either all the pollsters got it really wrong or Democratic turnout just didn't occur as projected in these places.
