NFL Suspends Peterson Without Pay for the Season

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been suspended without pay for the rest of the 2014 season, according to a news release from the NFL.

Peterson will not be considered for reinstatement before April 15 for violating the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.

Peterson was placed on leave by the Vikings after details emerged of the star running back hitting his four-year-old son with a switch. Peterson pleaded "no contest" to a misdemeanor assault charge and was ordered to pay a fine and complete community service.

He gets to be the poster boy for the league's new toughness after it got criticized over Ray Rice.

hypocrisy of them claiming it's a Conduct Policy. It's really a "Don't embarrass the league policy."
