Woman alleges Cosby raped her -- and other Playboy bunnies
Source: CNN
CNN) -- By the late 1960s, Bill Cosby was a married man well on his way to having five children, not to mention a landmark career in stand-up comedy, television and beyond. ...(snip)
Among Cosby's accusers is Judy Huth, who recently sued Cosby alleging he sexually molested her at the Playboy Mansion when she was 15 years old. Another woman who worked as a server, or "bunny," at a Playboy club accused Cosby of forcibly kissing her, and a former Playboy playmate alleged he drugged and raped her.
And, P.J. Masten, one of the two ex-bunnies who have publicly accused Cosby of sexual assault, told CNN's Alisyn Camerota that there are other women who have not come forward, or will not.
" There are) 12 former bunnies that I know of that are ashamed to come forward, frightened to come forward, married with families (and) don't want to come forward." Masten said. "But they were also drugged and raped by Bill Cosby."

"Huth claims she and a female friend met and chatted with Cosby on the set of a movie they saw was being filmed in a suburban Los Angeles park, and that he invited them to his tennis club the following Saturday.
The suit also says the girls told Cosby they were 15- and 16-years-old when he asked their ages.
Arriving at the tennis club days later, the two girls played a drinking game with Cosby at his suggestion, and he then led them to the Playboy Mansion after they "had been served multiple alcoholic beverages."
Once at the mansion, the suit said, Cosby instructed the girls to lie about their ages if asked. It was there that the Huth said she emerged from a bathroom to find Cosby on a bed, asking her to sit beside him before groping her."

(14,626 posts)He invited them to his tennis club, serving them alcoholic beverages there, then took them to the Playboy Mansion, according to the lawsuit.
Bill Cosby took her to the mansion. Judy Huth was just a kid and naive. She probably thought she could trust the nice, funny man she saw on TV selling Jello pudding pops and cracking jokes. A child is vulnerable to say the least when they are being plied with alcohol by an adult.

Cosby wouldn't have done those things if he didn't feel the Playboy Mansion was a "safe" environment...

In my case, I did not do those things often. But all kids break the rules. Maybe that is what happened here.

(30,712 posts)I am not blaming the victim. No one, fifteen or older, should be raped.
I was trying to say that kids can get in over their heads without realizing what can happen. Cosby was a celebrity who had a good reputation. Everyone perceived him as being good with kids. Kids trusted him. They would go with him, yes, even to the Playboy Mansion, and expect that they would not be harmed.

(7,570 posts)No. No, I never did. I guess I had a misspent youth.

(5,562 posts)Stuff I did at that age behind my loving parent's back I would never want them blamed for. Kids try things and experiment and some evil adults take advantage of it. The perpetrators are the ones who need charges.

(108,955 posts)At least the way you're doing it.
They shouldn't be brought up on charges simply because they let their 15 year old go to a park with her 16 year old friend, and spend the day with her. This was the pre-cell phone era, remember? Parents didn't keep the same kind of tabs on their kids that they do now.
We don't even know the parents knew about Bill Cosby. But if they did, they probably would have trusted him. He fooled millions of people.

(60,212 posts)If you were raped in 1980 and you were a woman who:
Had consensual sex with many partners including Cosby
Drank and did a lot of drugs
Dressed in sexy clothes
Went to his house
Went to the Playboy Mansion
Didn't put up a fight
Didn't remember what had happened
Were accusing a rich and powerful man
Who would take you seriously?
Even today, a lot of women don't report being raped because they don't want to be the ones on trial, and who could blame them?

Well, some people like to have sex with corpses, too. I wonder if old Bill ever got any of that action.
Nothing would surprise me at this point.

(532 posts)I don;t know, maybe I'm in denial: I've been a huge fan of Cosby for decades, even before The Cosby Show debuted on TV 30 years ago. I've also been an admirer of his stance on racial issues, whether he's talking to whites or blacks.
Maybe I just don't want to lose another icon. (I loved Joan Rivers, too, until she got hateful.)

(6,827 posts)still within the statute of limitations? Because it would really suck if the clock has run out on all the crimes, and he won't stand trial for any of them.
While I am DEFINITELY not blaming the victim, because being molested is only the criminal's fault, who thought it was a good idea to bring a child to the playboy mansion. Regardless of the molestation (which is a horror), is it really a place that a child should be at?
To re-iterate, it is no more that girl's fault than any of the other women Cosby raped and molested.

(31,464 posts)Unsuccessfully. She was actually one of the finalists for the 25th Anniversary Playmate. She posted on a local FB group for our town that Cosby tried to get her upstairs when she was at the Playboy Mansion. She was 19 or 20 at the time. She managed to ditch the pudding man, and says she has no desire to join the others and pursue any charges against him.
Contrary to the popular image of Playboy models, she never went on to do bad b-movies or autograph tours or stripping...she's now a lawyer.
