US stocks open mostly higher after a two-day rally

NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are opening mostly higher in the U.S. as the market comes off a massive two-day rally.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 12 points, or 0.1 percent, to 17,786 as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time Friday.
The Dow had surged 421 points the day before, its biggest gain in three years.
The Standard & Poor's 500 gained two points, or 0.1 percent, to 2,063. The Nasdaq composite edged down four points, or 0.1 percent, to 4,743.
