Ukraine crisis discussed during NATO FM meetings--John Kerry Speaks

BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhuanet) -- During the two day talks Foreign Ministers discussed the flow of migrants into Europe, as well as the Ukraine crisis, and the perceived threat from Russia in the Black Sea.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said leaders will consider a permanent allied ground force presence in the region to guard against possible aggression.

What they really did focus on the issue of Ukraine, in fact they invited the Ukrainian foreign minister, despite Ukraine was not a member of alliances.


But before the meeting begin, US secretary of State John Kerry, did brief his counterpart in NATO about his meeting with Russian president and the foreign minister of the day before.

And basically united with NATO, say now is the time to implement the Minsk agreement. Now that means respecting ceasefire, and means withdrawing heavy weapons.

In regards to how NATO is going to go forward act against since increasing threats they see Russia in the black sea region. What they basically now say they are going to double the action response team in eastern Europe and Baltic area to 30,000 soldiers going to include s spearhead force of 5,000. It going to partly led by Turkey and also going to open a training center for this forces in as well.

A big project there are going for NATO forward in response to what they see as a Russian threat in the area. And the Secretary General of NATO reiterate that any partnership with Russia and any project has been stalled at the moment until the situation in the Ukraine is completed.


The morning session of the day-two final day talks at the EU foreign policy Chief. They will look to improve cooperation in the face of new threat that present from Russia, as well as the flow of migrants across Mediterranean.
