And while the Snopes entry definitely clarifies certain elements of the discussion, and rightly exposes the sensationalism of too many headlines, the larger point is that Republican-controlled legislatures are relentlessly victimizing those least able to defend themselves through legal channels, while corporate interests that exploit legal loopholes created for their benefit by said Republican-controlled legislatures routinely steal more from the residents of the state, by several orders of magnitude, than the entire S.N.A.P. program costs.
