Ringing Cell Phones Startle Mom’s Unborn Baby New Study Finds
A recent study focusing on an unborn baby's startle reflex and how the sleep and wake cycles are affected found a connection between the ringtones on smartphones and the heartbeat of an unborn baby.
The study found that 90 percent of unborn babies monitored exhibited a startle reflex on the first smartphone ring. With phones programmed to ring repeatedly every 10 minutes, 80 percent of the unborn babies continued to be startled.
