Flying of Confederate flag is alarming (LTTE)

I am a foreign-born naturalized U.S. citizen, so many of my American experiences are different from those of someone born in the South.
In the South, we are still very divided by race and color. Just look around a church on Sunday to see the difference. I always thought America was the land of freedom and opportunity, but let us face it: Until lately, this was only guaranteed to the white race ...
Just a few days after the Charleston tragedy, I saw a white female driving a truck all decorated with many Confederate flags. Two young girls were in the back seat. The victims of the Charleston shootings had not even been laid to rest. The insensitivity of that woman’s action shocked and saddened me.
