How To Help People Affected By Wildfires In Lake, Napa and Butte Counties (CA)

The Valley Fire has destroyed more than 73,000 acres, including 575 homes and hundreds of other structures as of Thursday according to California state fire officials.
In the Butte Fire, more than 70,000 acres and 262 homes have been destroyed as of Thursday.

The County of Lake Office of Emergency Services asks that people who want to help consider making monetary donations through the North Coast Opportunities/Mendo-Lake Credit Union or Lake County Wildfire Relief Fund.

Checks may be made out to Mendo-Lake Credit Union or North Coast Opportunities with a memo for "Valley Fire" and mailed to any of the following addresses:

-- 526 South State Street, Ukiah, CA. 94582

Several firefighters have lost their homes battling the Valley Fire and the Butte Fire.
A "Go Fund Me" account has been set up for the firefighters.
There are so many lost pets and animals that Facebook pages have been set up to help.

Several fire relief funds administered by California credit unions, the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, and other organizations have been activated to help communities ravaged by the Valley Fire in Lake, Napa and Sonoma counties, and the Butte Fire in Amador and Calaveras counties:
