There’s a pay-off, too, as grateful military contractors kick in money to think tanks where other Kagans work, writes Robert Parry.

Neoconservative pundit Robert Kagan and his wife, Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, run a remarkable family business: she has sparked a hot war in Ukraine and helped launch Cold War II with Russia – and he steps in to demand that Congress jack up military spending so America can meet these new security threats.

This extraordinary husband-and-wife duo makes quite a one-two punch for the Military-Industrial Complex, an inside-outside team that creates the need for more military spending, applies political pressure to ensure higher appropriations, and watches as thankful weapons manufacturers lavish grants on like-minded hawkish Washington think tanks.

Not only does the broader community of neoconservatives stand to benefit but so do other members of the Kagan clan, including Robert’s brother Frederick at the American Enterprise Institute and his wife Kimberly, who runs her own shop called the Institute for the Study of War.

I always scan the Headlines for this bunch of Cons. Read the story and you will pretty know what the next stupid move happens at the State Department. Remember,Nuland was Moled In by Bush and Cheney and can not be fired only resigned.

3. Neocons like Dick Cheney founded PNAC to call for ME invasions

a whole list of countries including Iraq, Libya, Syria and Iran. IIRC we have invaded/bombed most of them now.

They stated that ME countries could attack "the West" with nuclear or genetically-engineered weapons.

Very paranoid, and successful in the Bush-2 years.

4. Robert Parry is a national treasure. This is essential knowledge to understand the Ukraine.

Wasn't Victoria Nuland(Kagan) the State Dept official who drove the State Department official position and mistaken facts for Susan Rice's Benghazi Meet the Press interview? Didn't Nuland's stubborn misinformation start and inflame the whole Benghazi circus?

It appears from Parry's illuminating article (nobody connects the dots better than Parry) that Victoria Nuland is a very dangerous zealot and advisor for Obama, Kerry and, especially going forward. Hillary Clinton.
