"...and the Worst Is Yet to Come"
Election Reflection: White Anger, Racial Violence, Economic Despairand the Worst Is Yet to ComeA journalist's dark view from flyover country.
Once this gets going, if you look at the history of fascist of authoritarian states, it moves extremely quickly. It seems to be that everything is normal, and then little things creep in and then once they have power they will abuse it.

(499 posts)No. We have to fight the incoming tyranny. (Yeah, I think it's time for us Democrats to start using that word against Trump.)

(41,831 posts)MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, the fictional series about what Had happened if Germany had won World War II. Imperial Japan owns the West, and every thing past the neutral Zone belongs to the Nazi's.
Its a scary place they have created, even for one such as me, who is of Japanese ancestry. I can't imagine it was any fun living in Japan during World War II. Especially hearing about the fire bombing of Tokyo, and other places.
But that aside, the idea of living under fascism, depicted in this TV series is very scary. Everyone is suspect, even if they are considered loyal to the regime in place. I wonder if we will live in a similar world soon, and wonder how we all will maintain in a country that is run like the former Soviet Union.
Its a horrible thought and some how we have to get though these next four years, and plan to take it back, if there is anything left.

Fear = George W. Bush administration, 9/11
Anger = Republicans under Obama
Hate = Trump
Suffering = Post-Trump (???)
What's after suffering?
