Joy Reid boots ex-Congressman off her show for 'incredibly offensive' racist rant on immigrants

MSNBC host Joy Reid pulled the plug on a former congressman Saturday morning, booting him off her show because he wouldn’t stop ranting about undocumented immigrants and then turned to making offensive comments about Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-WA).

Appearing on AM Joy, ex-Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) was invited to weigh in recent sweeps by immigration officials picking up undocumented immigrants. Instead he proceeded to lecture and hector immigrant activists Rosie Perez and Maria Hinojosa, calling them “hysterical.”

With both immigrant activists attempting to explain what it is like to be Hispanic in the U.S. and subject to being stopped at anytime by immigration officials, Hayworth bizarrely said that, as a white man, he faces the same challenges.

“I’ve gone through questioning by the Border Patrol when i was moving from Cincinnati, and, Maria understands this,” Hayworth explained. “When I was moving from Cincinnati to Arizona and driving along our southeast border, I have been stopped by the Border Patrol. I have been asked if I was a citizen, my car has been examined and the same thing has happened in Southern California. If you go down south to San Diego, everybody has had a situation where there has been traffic stops for border security.”

2. Hayworth was too vile for AZ, and that's really saying something.

He's probably extra vicious these days because he's hoping Dolt45 will pick him for something since he hates everybody who aint a straight rich white male who goes to the right church.

He's quite a piece of work. I can imagine Reid is going to have a long talk with the staffer who booked him. I wouldn't want to be that particular staffer.

Not just as a human being (which he is) but as a talk radio host. That's one large empty head he has there.

10. Ive told this before

When I was much younger, in a pre 9-11 world, I was going through one of the checkpoints in new mexico. I hated them because it seemed so authoritarian to have to stop. They would always just pass me through easily be it just pissed me off, they would always ask some thing like "Where you headed?" Because they wanted to hear my (very American) accent. Then they'd wave me through. OT annoyed me because I didn't think it was any ofbtheir business where e I was headed. So one time I said to the officer "up to your mom's house, we got a date" and he looked at me and laughed and waved me on.

Now two things. There's no way I would say that now. And that is kind of chilling in how much my belief in the safety to mouth off because I'm an American citizen by God has changed over the last 20 years .

Second there is no way that white dude driving through a border check has the slightest idea of what it is like being Hispanic and going through one.
