EXCELLENT in depth article by George Packer in the the New Yorker, Oct. 31, 2016

This is very long but I was in the hospital with time on my hands and needed a long read. It contains a historical recounting of how the Black Lives Matter protest differed from the earlier civil rights protests and Occupy Wall Street.
I recommend it to you if you have the time to read it. I am savoring it again. He interviews HRC about how her views have been modified or reshaped since her earlier days both in Arkansas and as First Lady during her husband's two terms. Packer has some thrilling background on HRC's being grilled by black social activists who were also labor activests and the tensions historically between the two.
If you have the time (or want something to read piecemeal) I recommend this article highly.
The magazine issue on Oct. 31, 2016 was very confident of her win on Nov. 8. What a sad thing for the writers there at the New Yorker...
