What Democrats Need To Do!

From:
Progressive Turnout Project.org

Why Are Democrats Doing So Poorly?

Despite winning the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes in 2016, we lost the White House and have minorities in Congress and state legislatures.

So what is the reason for this phenomenon?

Simply put, the 2010 Republican landslide put the GOP in a position to have a blank check over redistricting - making it nearly impossible for Democrats to make gains in the House and state chambers (even when we win more votes).

And what's worse: Redistricting has effectively allowed the GOP to pass even more harsh voting restrictions and shut out the voices of their opposition - especially communities of color, students, and the poor in key swing states.

The only way to undo the damage is to get to work today and elect more Democrats.

Democrats need to win 24 seats to take back the House.
We know it sounds daunting - but the most effective way to do so is by inspiring a huge influx of Democratic voters to vote.
But that won't happen unless we get to work today.

What can we do about it?

We have tested our data-driven tactics in the field - and they work!
Where we launched our operations, we saw significant increases in voter turnout nationwide.
Our focus on turnout stems from our team's belief that getting Democrats to the polls is the most effective way to win elections.

We're part of a proud tradition of progressives using data and behavioral science to hone campaign strategy.
We synthesize existing research and run our own experiments on new tactics to make sure our programs have the largest return on investment possible.
