Stand Up Republic launches new television and digital campaign targeting President Trump’s Russia Crisis

Washington, D.C. — Today, Stand Up Republic launched a new television and digital ad campaign urging Congress to conduct a comprehensive investigation into Russia’s involvement in the 2016 presidential elections.

The 30-second ad, titled “Sunlight,” cites recent reports of the growing number of Trump campaign associates with connections to Russia and calls on Americans to urge their Members of Congress to establish a bipartisan select committee to conduct a proper investigation.

Initially, “Sunlight” will air for two weeks on Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN in Washington, D.C. and on various social media and other digital platforms nationally.

“Since the inauguration, not a week has gone by without new, troubling revelations regarding the possible Russian compromise of President Trump and his closest advisors,” said Stand Up Republic co-founder Evan McMullin. “Russia’s multifaceted attack on our democracy is a matter of grave national security concern and requires a serious congressional investigation. The standing intelligence committees currently conducting the investigation have neither the resources nor scope of jurisdiction to execute an adequate investigation of this matter.”

Stand Up Republic’s first ad, “Secrets,” had a similar theme and asked President Trump to “come clean” about his Russian connections. In addition to online placements, “Secrets” had an initial buy on MSNBC in the Washington, D.C. market for two weeks, followed by additional runs in Palm Beach, Florida, during the President’s visits to Mar-a-Lago.
