(7,316 posts)Every time I see a post slamming Bernie here, I regret voting for Hillary. We could have had a great president, but we got a loser.

(11,092 posts)Perhaps people are responding positively to Bernie's straightforward way of speaking, his decades-long commitment to veterans, his unwavering support for workers and their rights.
Political plain speak is rare....and noteworthy.

(29,233 posts)Exactly what you said he needs to. Plus introducing legislation, plus traveling to places that we can win back next time... etc etc. He has been the most active fighter in Congress since the election.

(57,349 posts)Other candidates faded into the woodwork after the loss but not Bernie. He's out there going above and beyond trying to rally opposition against Trump and support for our causes.
We should be holding town halls all over the country right now.

(7,016 posts)but IMO we missed a golden opportunity. I voted for Hillary so don't go there. Just saying.

(3,255 posts)I see no point in looking back. The question is, how do we put together a big enough coalition to stop trump? This is actually the first time in many years where I think it would be possible to bring the left into a bigger tent, but I'm afraid that the third way bunch doesn't see it that way.Where I live, I would estimate that about one fourth of the voters are not involved with the party because they see it as not progressive enough. We still run about 80% Democratic, but we really need that other 20% in state wide races. I'm mainly talking about the many who do not vote. They are not all apathetic.

(454 posts)When I saw the video of him sitting next to that woman in West Virginia just listening to everything she had to say, it brought tears to my eyes. Bernie cares in his actions as well as words and he's out there boots to the ground every day and it shows. We need hundreds of people like Bernie all around the country.

(39,405 posts)only a few points more popular than Republicans.
Democrats are more progressive than Republicans there's no doubt, but it is also clear that certain corporate and banking interests have veto power over just how much progress we can have.
Likewise, I don't think their is a lot of grassroots support for overthrowing more countries in the Middle East and even stirring conflict with real powers like Russia and China, who have no plans to attack America unless we threaten or interfere in their internal affairs too much, but "centrists" actively pursue these policies and try to persuade the rest of us that it is somehow in our interests.

(30,733 posts)He lost the primaries by about four million votes. They wanted Hillary. Get over yourselves and stop rehashing the primaries. She won the general by about three million popular votes.

(6,344 posts)This statement has nothing to do with HRC or anything else. It is not rehashing the primaries. I simply am stating my opinion about Bernie.
Why is that so hard for you?

If this was a typical Fox viewer poll none of them would have done well.
And it wasn't a poll of Fox viewers - it was a random sample of registered voters. From the link:
