Giuliani: Trump Might Refuse Mueller Subpoenas Or Take The Fifth

Rudy Giuliani, the latest addition to President Trump's legal team, spent much of the weekend trying to clarify statements he made earlier concerning his client's legal troubles.

On Wednesday, Giuliani, in an appearance on Fox News' Sean Hannity, said a $130,000 payment to adult-film actor Stormy Daniels made by former Trump attorney Michael Cohen in the final days of the 2016 election did not violate campaign finance restrictions because it had been "funneled" through Cohen's law firm and was repaid in installments by the president.

The remarks by Giuliani, the former federal prosecutor and mayor of New York, implied that Trump was aware of the payments at the time, contradicting the president's statements to the contrary just last month.

1. If trump refuses the subpoenas, he won't wait for courts to rule on the issue.

trump will immediately shut down mueller. he won't be able let the case wend its way to a decision for months. the case would compromise his ability to govern. he will take the chance that it's better to shut down mueller and face down impeachment.

and now has probably gotten his paper from a judge to appear.

pretty obvious, but they seem to forget it's a dynamic society and media, not a chess match

Giuliani was hired to confuse and confabulate, it's a strategy. Trump hired senility for a reason.

It's all about November at this point. If we take the House, we can block things, and investigate everything

He just ignores the whole thing. Can they go into the WH and take him to the Grand Jury?
