President Trump Puts 'America First' On Hold To Save Chinese Jobs

In a surprising departure from his "America First" agenda, President Trump says he will help a China-based cell-phone manufacturer save jobs after the Commerce Department said it sold U.S. technology to Iran and North Korea and then failed to live up to the terms of a settlement.

It would be difficult to find a more quintessential example of the kind of troubling trade practices that the president has long highlighted, which makes his sudden pivot in the case of ZTE all the more stunning.

ZTE, the world's fourth-largest maker of cell phones, was found in violation of U.S. rules against selling U.S.-originated technology to certain blacklisted countries. After reaching a more than $1 billion settlement with Commerce as reparation for its Iran and North Korea dealings, ZTE then violated the terms of the agreement by failing to fire some employees and reprimand others who were involved in the illicit technology transfers.

I have another, how much was Russia dependent on their technology to hack our election? I read in another article that they were heavily involved in the technology for cyber-security cracking.

It's possible the Chinese offered him a chunk of ZTE stock, but he seems to prefer good old cash on the proverbial barrel-head. So who was Cohen the middle man of someone else?

They contradict each other. Foreign policy can't be handled like this. World leader have a love/hate relationship with him since he is so Helter Skelter. No one knows what he stands for since he picks and chooses which policies to implement with various countries as though he has no plans at all (which he doesn't and it shows..the world sees it). I am embarrassed to be an American due to him.

... Congressional Representatives and Senators support Trump.

They back him and his chaotic policies to the hilt. And so do your GOP and Tea Party candidates who are now trying to get to Washington. Listen to what they say; they say all the time that they support Trump.

If you think Trump is bad news, you need to realize your whole conservative movement has gone morally and economically -- and probably patriotically -- bankrupt.
