'It seems amazing that their heads didn't explode:' Idaho Democratic chief rips GOP lawmakers
Posting this here because it applies to national politics as well, along with many state legislatures across the US:
Republican leaders make a lot of noise about getting government off our backs. They hate the federal government mandate on health care. Yet, in almost the same breath, they wanted to mandate an invasive medical procedure before a woman could terminate a pregnancy. Can there be anything more intrusive than a government inserting itself into the most difficult and painful decision a woman might ever have to make? So strongly did they believe in this mandate that they even refused to make an exception for rape, incest or medical emergency.
And what about those legislators who claim to be pro-life yet they vote to cut education and medical care for children?
Along those same lines, they decry unfunded mandates on education from the federal government, yet they support telling local school districts that they have to spend money on computers instead of teachers, all the while cutting funding to the point that teachers cannot do their jobs at all.

(1,372 posts)and try to force mandates in order to make people do what they want them to do.
They have voted against everything these past 4 years in order to try to make Pres. Obama a one term president.
They've argued against the budget
They've argued against cutting money to successful businesses.
Just what have we paid these people for?
There needs to be a rule established that says - Every decision made needs to benefit the American people!
This crap had got to stop - VOTE THEM OUT!!

(9 posts).....and recently they voted to cut taxes for the upper class in Idaho since our revenues are up. They hope that will create jobs they say. Also while revenues have increase, they are going to put money back into the rainy day fund that they were forced to use. Not a mention though to our poor whose services have been cut during all of this.
