For our audience. We mainly draw people 50yo and over. I suggested streaming since we’ve already rehearsed and had the orchestra, but the Board thought that might not work with our audience age. Our director also directs several other groups and they are cancelling as well.

As well as New Ark Chorale, Northern Delaware Oratorio Society, and a combined group that gets together each year to perform “Lenten Sketches”. Haven’t heard for sure about ACDA, but our director was guest conducting for that function. Met for choir tonight at church and was told that Presbytery was keeping an eye on the situation, and may - at some point - suspend church services.

Here on the Left Coast I’m still waiting for my church’s leadership to address this situation.

With regard to sacred music, I support this locally based and internationally renowned ensemble, for which I served on the board for six years and as board president for three: https://cappellaromana.org/

You might be interested in their recordings, particularly their latest one: https://cappellaromana.org/lost-voices-of-hagia-sophia-tops-the-billboard-charts/

Meanwhile, please stay safe and well, have a good Lent and, as we say in the Orthodox Christian tradition, a good Resurrection and Great and Holy Pascha.
