newborns and infants of immigrants, illegal or otherwise? (A quick read of the EO does not distinguish between "citizen" and "immigrant" status.) Isn't this equality already what the Constitution enshrines?

Republicans are in favor of killing living babies and have done so.

Pro-life is a myth.

The supposed pro-lifers cared naught when the state of Texas (republican gov, republican Prez) deliberately killed living baby Sun Hudson against the mother's wishes because he was an inconvenience to the state.

It is not a matter of life to the supposed pro-lifers.

It is a matter of control.

If a pregnancy - or miscarriage - results in a live birth, the doctors or clinician/midwives will try to save the child, even if it is unwanted and will be put up for adoption. The only exception is when it's obvious the child is not viable, but even then, in most states, this is up to hospital or clinic administration due to legal ramifications, not up to the doctor or mother.

The "post-birth" death scenario almost always happens in home births or when there's an unregulated/unlicenced "obstetrician" - or someone calling themselves a baby doctor - servicing a remote or cult-based community.

Infanticide - which is what this "EO" is based on - is not only already illegal, but tends to occur in US locations where there is a cultural acceptance of children -and their mothers - as property of the family patriarch who controls the public "honor" of the family.
