Vienna shooting: Terror attack as multiple shots fired by city's main synagogue
A TERROR attack near a synagogue in Vienna has left at least one person dead and more than a dozen injured.

Multiple people are believed to have carried out the horrific attack, with some of the perpetrators feared to still be on the run. Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz called the incident a "repulsive terror attack". Footage posted on social media shows people scrambling for cover as shots can be heard in the background. A man can be heard shouting while sirens go off and a pedestrian cowers behind a bike rack. Several people have been injured in the attack, including a police officer who suffered gunshot wounds.
Interior Minister Karl Nehammer said: "At the moment I can confirm we believe this is an apparent terror attack.
"We believe there are several perpetrators.
"Unfortunately, there are also several injured, probably also dead."
He said while one attacker had died, others were still "on the run".
He said those remaining on the loose were likely "heavily armed and dangerous."
He added: "We have brought several special forces units together that are now searching for the presumed terrorists. I am therefore not limiting it to an area of Vienna because these are mobile perpetrators.”
