GOP Lawmakers Moving To Force Businesses In Their States To Serve Unvaccinated, Claiming Civil Right

- Freedom Rally, Squamish, B.C., Canada.

- 'GOP lawmakers are moving to force businesses in their states to serve the unvaccinated, claiming it as a civil right.' MSN/Bus. Insider, July 12, 2021. -Ed.

Republicans are rallying to protect the rights of unvaccinated people even as COVID-19 infections are spiking within that same population across the U.S. Several state GOP lawmakers are proposing legislation that would make it illegal to "discriminate" against unvaccinated individuals, using similar protections as those applied on the basis of gender, race, and religion.

These bills aim to prohibit the public and private sector from denying goods and services to unvaccinated people. At least one state, Montana, has signed such a bill into law. There, businesses such as grocery stores and restaurants are not allowed to refuse customers based on their vaccination status. Similarly, employers are forbidden from refusing to hire someone based on whether they've been vaccinated, per Axios.

Other GOP-led states have enacted similar measures. In Alabama, schools and colleges are not allowed to require vaccines, Axios reported. The state government and private companies are also not permitted to refuse services to people who are not yet vaccinated.

These state efforts represent yet another resistance to coronavirus vaccinations as the federal government continues its push to encourage people to get the shot. Earlier this year, several Republican governors enacted bans on so-called vaccine passport requirements, which would offer proof of an individual's vaccination status...

That’s the simple explanation for everything they’re doing. They don’t really care about freedom or human rights

It's like they think they are bringing on their self fulfilling prophecy if the rapture which requires that everyone but them has to die. I think they have it backwards, though.

Everybody is free to choose sickness and death. Nobody has the freedom to pass sickness and death onto others.

Bad choosers are not a protected class. The herd has more rights than herd individuals; it is just science.

They support a health care worker refusing to treat or perform a treatment on someone they disapprove of (emotional/faith-based) but they demand people forget science/logic/reason and serve someone a hamburger regardless of the dangers the unvaccinated pose for everyone?

as hell.

We're a very dysfunctional, sick country now in many ways all due to the pathological selfish aims of so many corrupt, twisted power mongers and their lunatic followers.

I wonder just how much crazier it can get when I see news like this..

are really driven in their anti-govt., anti- democracy 'freedom cause' for 40 years or more actually.

So much of it is motivated by pure greed as has been the case for thousands of years, if only the manipulated rubes could figure out what's going on, or learn about demagogues, dictators and authoritarian rule. Time is running out.

Given the state of our current media and education system, and how dire things are in the socio-political arena, an 'awakening' in many looks unlikely, sorry to say. If the pandemic and climate disaster haven't opened their eyes what will.

Around 5-6 years ago I sensed this direction, the road to fascism and tried to warn several relatives without success. They're very sharp, but have dropped following a lot of serious news of late except for the obvious stuff due to relationships, moves and health matters.

I'll give it one or two more attempts, supported by pertinent articles and see what happens. It's the young I'm most concerned about, for good reason. Hang in there..

By using the United States Constitution in such an abusive manner to lead citizens astray and directly into harm's way and perhaps even death is not just unethical but is unconstitutional on its face legally and a crime against humanity on a wholesale basis. The people misleading the citizens of America know better and are using the virus for political gain at the expense of the death of thousands. What kind of monster leads people intentionally into death and disease for monetary gain and political power? It is an abomination, to say the least.
