Polish marchers blame Jews for the COVID pandemic
Several participants in a rally in Glogow, Poland, said that Jews are to blame for the COVID-19 pandemic and agreed that Jews rule the world.
About 100 people walked through the streets of the city in western Poland in opposition to vaccination and sanitary segregation, or restrictions on unvaccinated people.
We know who is behind this whole plandemic,' one of the marchs leaders said, implying that he believes the pandemic is fake and part of a plan to weaken Polands economy.
Do you know who hates Poles? We know who hates [us], he added.
Jews, answered another marcher.
Another said Jews will apply for our houses, referring to the debate over Holocaust property restitution, which Polands right-wing government is attempting to limit.

(3,334 posts)I think that many Jews in Israel believe that they must do everything they can to protect themselves no matter what. I agree they must remain strong, but I am totally against their treatment of Palestinians and other countries in the Middle East.

(53,921 posts)Why does one feel the need to mention Israel in a story about anti-Semitism in Poland about Jews being responsible for COVID?

(19,186 posts)stomps this neo-nazi movement into the ground. I can't believe this garbage still exists today.
The world wouldn't be in such a miserable state if Jews actually "ruled the world". They're very organized and efficient, as a rule, and the world we have today is a literal dumpster fire. This world is more in tune with the rise of autocratic hate groups, who thrive on chaos.

Never mind!
Looks like Europe is getting back to "normal". Their momentary lapse into tolerance and reason sure didn't last long, did it?

Horrid bigotry and discrimination again.. some of it residual and some stirred by extremist elements.

(74 posts)My husband and I watched this movie a few days ago and the take away was spoken by the great actor John Garfield who plays a Jewish character- when responding to another character who was witness to an anti-Semitic joke at a party he asks: how did you respond? Its up to decent people to react to racist comments in every form or sadly they will continue because the offenders will feel comfortable- this lesson never goes away

(3,839 posts)this kind of stuff spreads quickly in fertile soil. Poland was a Sovier dominated communist regime that stunted a progressive movement in the country. Anti-semitism was more prevalent in Poland that almost anywhere else in Europe before WW2. Could it find fertile territory there again?
