BTRTN: No Taxation Without Equal Representation
Born To Run The Numbers with an idea for Democrats who are furious watching a lying and cheating minority party exert outsized influence over our government, who are weary of paying more in taxes and yet receiving less in representation, and who are fundamentally alienated from a government that is dysfunctional and rarely reflects the clear will of the majority.

Excerpts: "Democrats are frustrated that there is little that they can do to stop the Republican assault or increase the effectiveness of government. There appear to be two reasons for this feeling. The first is a matter of attitude. There is a growing frustration among Democrats that Republicans cheat to win and Democrats play by the rules and lose. The second is the very real matter of government structure and design. The Founding Fathers intended to create a structure of government that prevented a malevolent majority from completely subjugating the minority. What has become clear in the past twelve years is that the Founding Fathers inadvertently created a structure than enables a malevolent minority to exert control over the majority..."
"Yes, Democrats, Blue States are paying more in taxes than Red States for the privilege of a Federal government that is hopelessly broken, stunningly incompetent, shockingly corrupt, lurching dangerously toward authoritarian rule, and you are wondering what more you can do than frantically mail post cards and sending a notable percentage of your income to Act Blue. What, exactly, can we do about it? Heres a hint: if your dry cleaner returned your shirts with three ripped, two not ironed, and one not even cleaned, you wouldnt tolerate it. Youd call Visa and tell them to hold payment on the dry cleaner until your dispute is settled."

I disagree with an online petition without verification of the tax payers.
This is something I'm pushing up to my local NAACP.

African Americans shouldn't give them until 2024. I demand it NOW.
We paid a total of 70K to the Red States hostage fund in 2020. So will pay more, and some will pay less. It needs a sign, sealed and delivered buy in by late January of next year for the majority of black americans to refuse to even FILE taxes.
Pipe dream? I don't know. But they said the same thing about Segregation. My dad was born into it - yet died with the right to vote, living in the home of his choice, as a decorated veteran.

Payroll taxes, which are only on wages, take money from most precincts. Then than money ends up in in the pockets of a much smaller part of our nation.
We need a single national income tax with steeply progressive rates, so there is a large exemption and the rates go up so upper middle class pay more than lower class. Unearned income above a certain minimum for retirees needs to be taxed more steeply. Maybe even increase the earned income credit as a type of universal wage support for workers and retirees with long work careers. The wealthy of course need to be taxed like the 40s & 50s.
Property tax needs a redo, as it's current form encourages slum lords and penalizes those who fix their property up.
There should be not debt ceiling. The Federal Reserve should be nationalized so the federal government isn't dragged down by interest owed to wealthy, often foreign bankers.
Minimum wage and social security need to be indexed for inflation.
We need to move the military industrial complex over to infrastructure, over say 20 years.
We need to stop the boom and bust shifts in spending and make the changes gradual over a time frame longer than a single presidential term.
The wealthy spend their money slower than we do and often spend it far off shore. Working class spending moves through economy almost 11 times over the next 12 months. The most wealthy's income moves 0.4 more times after they get it over the same 12 months. Cutting their taxes slows the whole economy's velocity.
Joe while he hasn't been able to deliver on minimum wage nor single payer healthcare for all, he is doing great with pushing to get more money into the hands on those who will spend fast and local.
