Republicans can’t begin to get their act together and are demanding that we do something but they won’t say what. They are just so damn shallow and immature. I don’t think they could win student council president, most of them

We need a nationalized health care system like Canada. There's no reason for medical care to be a for-profit business instead of a basic human right. And don't give me all the crap about Canada's system shortcomings. When I had a private, full coverage health insurance policy, I still had to wait weeks to get appointments with specialists, in some cases, depending on the specialty, months and my wife, in one case, almost seven months. I have relatives in Canada, near Buffalo, and the only Canadians who cross over to the US to access our system are those who live in really remote places where the specialists are closer to them in the US than they are in Canada. Where they live, 10 minutes from Buffalo, they prefer to go to Toronto or Hamilton, which are further, than try to get into line here.

And prescriptions, well, I'm not even going there.

Noting the percentage of money that goes to profit in health care in the US, no medical personnel would have to take a cut in pay to shave off almost half the cost.
