'Sexual freedom,' by Hugh Hefner
http://www.playboy.com/playground/view/sexual-freedom... The fight for gay marriage is, in reality, a fight for all of our rights. Without it, we will turn back the sexual revolution and return to an earlier, puritanical time.
When I wrote The Playboy Philosophy in the early 1960s, both oral and anal sex were illegal in 49 of the 50 states. In 10 of those states, sodomywhich was variously defined but could, in some states, include oral sexcarried a maximum sentence of 20 years. Citizens in Connecticut who engaged in oral sex faced 30 years in prison60 years for people who lived in North Carolina. In Nevada it could mean life behind bars. It was a time when 37 states outlawed sex between unmarried people and 45 criminalized adultery. Two states even banned heavy petting.
This is the oppressive world some would have us return to. These moralists say that if sex doesnt beget children, its a sin. Your sex life, your privacy rights and the rights of men and women everywhere are casualties of this belief.
... Nearly 50 years ago in the pages of this magazine I warned that when religion rather than reason dictates legislation, do not expect logic with your law. Today, in every instance of sexual rights falling under attack, youll find legislation forced into place by people who practice discrimination disguised as religious freedom. Their goal is to dehumanize everyones sexuality and reduce us to using sex for the sole purpose of perpetuating our species. To that end, they will criminalize your entire sex life.

(1 post)Sexual freedom should apply to everyone and everyone's personal appetites. I have a youtube channel under my name Dennis Mingus in which I make a number of arguments supporting sexual freedom and pornography. The International Human Rights Commission wrote me an email supporting some of my views on the current laws against child porn, that they are not protecting children, only making it more dangerous for children.
I also see Religion as a problem, because the zealots have taken over the churches and turned them anti-sexual. They seem to forget that the Creator made sex and everything about sex. I am expressing a different view of religion concerning sex that should counter balance the use of religion against sex.
Evolution is a creator program which makes it clear that the creator encourages and even demands greater sexual interplay in more advanced species. The primitive life forms start off a-sexual and sexual activity becomes more complex and involved in more advanced species. Sex is important to the purpose of creation and not just to have children. Notice that evolution and the creator have declared puberty as the age at which children become full blown sexual adults, with the right to have their own kids.
Sex is a basic Animal Right and Humans are also animals, so sex is also a basic Human Right. The Pursuit of Happiness means the Right to Sexual Freedom, the founding fathers were simply being delicate in addressing the subject and is why they called upon the readers to use a reasonable mind. The 14th Amendment threw this right out and placed Life and Liberty under the Law, which means it is no longer even a Right, which we can see because of the Death Penalty being applied.

(26,624 posts)With all the wives and children he has acquired, he has more in common with Mitt Romney's family heritage than he realizes... Both raised and stepped in a Religion that saw women as handmaidens for men... and I'm sure they both digress at about the same jumping off point when they say it's a women's choice to serve men and make them happy...
